Even though I love to design patterns I really do like to actually make things.I have done primitive art work for over 20 years,in fact, that is what led me to start my pattern business.I have really been busy making patterns but have decided to try my hand at doing punch needle rug making.I am working on my first rug(though I doubt it will ever see the floor). I drew a very simple pattern and started in with only information I could find on the web. With vintage needle in hand I began. It is not perfect and not finished yet but I am loving the process.I tried regular rug hooking and it was a challenge for my poor old brain. The needle punching seems more doable for me.I will keep you posted as to my progress.
Meanwhile here is another pattern.
"Show Your Colors" is 18x24 and is one of my favorites.A favorite because it combines the rug hooking with a view of some quilted handy work. Many of you do more than one needle craft and this is designed to cross the gap a little.

Most of my pattern inspirations come to me in the middle of the night.Wake me right up out of a sound sleep. Then I can't wait to get them on paper.Once on paper I can relax and go about my day.Kinda weird isn't it?
I was on a roll this week and made five new patterns.I will list a couple of them here for now.
